This page explains what personal data ObservationData.com processes, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: this site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies. The only personal data it handles is what any website needs to be delivered securely, and whatever you choose to send through the contact form.

Who is responsible
ObservationData.com is responsible for the processing described here. For any question about your data, or to exercise the rights listed below, use the contact form.
What is not collected
- No analytics or statistics tools, and no advertising or social media pixels.
- No content loaded from third-party servers, such as external fonts, videos or embedded posts.
- No user accounts, newsletter or comments for visitors.
Visiting the site
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that every web server receives: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. This data is used to deliver the page, keep the site stable and defend it against abuse. It is kept in server logs for a limited period and is not combined with other data or used to build profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as a content delivery network and security proxy. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to deliver pages quickly and filter out malicious traffic, and it may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it checks a request for abuse. Cloudflare may process data in the United States and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a fast and secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. They are sent to us by email and are not stored in the website’s database. We use them only to answer your request and delete them once it is dealt with, unless a longer retention period is required by law. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering inquiries, or steps prior to a contract where your message concerns one (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Spam protection runs on this server: a small picture puzzle and a hidden field that bots tend to fill in. No data is sent to a third-party CAPTCHA service.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own for visitors. The only exception is the security cookie Cloudflare may set, described above, which is strictly necessary and not used for tracking. For that reason there is no cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send any such request through the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live.
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when the site’s handling of data changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
